Arlene Mose, CPA – Senior Tax Manager

Arlene is a Senior Tax Manager at Maze and Associates.

She has 27 years of public accounting experience, providing tax consulting, strategic planning and advisory services to individuals and businesses in all stages. She is focused on improving her client’s growth and profitability and excels at helping them understand their financial and tax situation.

Arlene is passionate about her work and assists her clients transition through both business and personal milestones. Her clients love her personable approach and know that she operates with their best interest in mind, acting as partner and advisor.

Prior to joining Maze and Associates, Arlene managed her private practice which included both a tax and audit component. Her firm participated in the AICPA Peer Review Process since its inception in 1997. Her audit practice specialized in the non-profit industry, included OMB Circular A-133 compliance and several joint venture projects with Deloitte & Touché, LLP.

Arlene’s tax focus includes the preparation of business, individual, trust and estate tax returns to include specialization in real estate transactions and 1031 exchanges. Her understanding of tax-exempt entities also allows her to handle the unique tax situations related to Private Foundations and Supporting Organizations.

Arlene is a frequent speaker on tax issues to professional groups in the area and participates with in-house staff training. She has appeared on various television and radio programs and contributes technical articles to local print media. He book “Day to Day Business Accounting” was published by Prentice Hall.

Fauzia Khan, CPA – Senior Associate

Fauzia is a graduate of the University of Keele, Keele Staffordshire, United Kingdom, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics & Political Science. She attended Chabot and Foot Hill-De Anza Colleges, where she took a variety of accounting, auditing, and tax courses with a GPA of 4.0. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California. She has received over 300 hours of continuing education since joining our firm in August 2016. Fauzia is a member of California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Fauzia is fluent in Urdu and Hindi.

Joe Poka, CPA – Senior Tax Manager

Joe has lived in the Bay Area most of his life and attended schools locally.

He is a CPA with over 30 years of public accounting experience, first with the Martinez firm of Griffin & Poka and, since its purchase by Maze & Associates, is currently with Maze & Associates in Pleasant Hill.

Most of his work was performed in the area of individual income tax preparation and with considerable time spent on trust and estate administration matters.

He is licensed by the California State Board of Accountancy, License #71976 and is also a member in good standing (inactive) with the California State Bar.

Julian Zaragoza, CPA – Tax Manager

Julian is a Tax Manager at Maze & Associates. Prior to joining Maze in 2019, Julian specialized in tax issues related to high net worth individuals, closely held businesses and multi-generational family groups. His primary focus was in tax consulting and compliance services to individuals and their related entities including trusts, partnerships and closely held businesses. He also has worked as a family office manager providing financial analysis, modeling and projections for real estate and venture capital.

Julian’s priority is to understand his client’s needs, concerns, and goals. He works to provide effective personalized planning and solutions to help his clients achieve their goals. Julian is always committed to providing clients with outstanding service.

Ramya Sirigiri – Tax Supervisor

Ramya is a tax accountant with over 10 year of experience. She worked at public accounting firms such as Deloitte, PwC and BPM. Her areas of expertise include international taxation, IC-DISC, domestic tax compliance, planning and advisory services to Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Partnerships and Corporations clientele.
Ramya joined Maze & Associates to broaden her knowledge about Individual clients and closely held businesses. She is excited to learn about Individual, S-Corporations and Fiduciary taxation services to better serve her clients.
Ramya is passionate about providing the best client services, by better understanding their needs and business requirements. Apart from work, she loves cooking and spending time with her family and friends.


Robert Summers – Supervisor

Robert graduated from California State University, East Bay in 2016 with a Degree in Accounting & Finance. Robert has received 240 hours of continuing education since joining our firm in August 2016. Robert is a member of CalCPA and AICPA.

Timothy Krisch, CPA – Chief Executive Officer (Tax / Acct Svc / Audit)

Tim received a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Eastern Illinois University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was employed by Peterson & Co., a certified public accounting firm specializing in construction related litigation claims, and Wallace, Mah & Louie, Certified Public Accountants, for a total of nine years prior to joining Maze & Associates in 1990. Tim accumulated three hundred thirty-six hours of continuing education in the past three years as an in-house instructor and participant. Tim has served on the Finance Committee and Board of Directors of Contra Costa Christian Schools and currently serves on the Audit Committee and Board of Directors of Tony La Rusa’s Animal Rescue Foundation. Tim has also served as an expert witness on various court cases. His experience has been in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, retail, real estate construction and development; service oriented industries municipalities, special districts, as well as not for profit organizations.
