Fauzia Khan, CPA – Senior Associate

Fauzia is a graduate of the University of Keele, Keele Staffordshire, United Kingdom, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics & Political Science. She attended Chabot and Foot Hill-De Anza Colleges, where she took a variety of accounting, auditing, and tax courses with a GPA of 4.0. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California. She has received over 300 hours of continuing education since joining our firm in August 2016. Fauzia is a member of California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Fauzia is fluent in Urdu and Hindi.

Maria Munoz – Supervisor

Maria graduated from St. Mary’s College in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Maria has received 80 hours of continuing education since joining our firm.

Peter Medina, EA – Director (Tax / Acct Svc)

Peter is a graduate of St. Mary’s College, Moraga, with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Accounting. He spent the first five years of his career as an auditor, with a focus on city government, special districts and not-for-profit organizations preparing audited financial statements and performing Comprehensive Annual Financial Report reviews for Government Finance Officers Association. During his time as an auditor, he accumulated over 400 hours of continuing education. In his time as an auditor, Peter worked his way from audit staff to audit supervisor while also participating in tax preparation on a seasonal basis.

This valuable knowledge earned as an auditor made it possible to transition 10 years ago to work directly with Tim Krisch as a full-time tax and accounting services associate. Over the past 10 years Peter has embraced various changes to the industry and developed a tax portfolio of over 600 individuals, entities, fiduciary and not-for-profit tax returns. Peter also maintains a portfolio of over 30 accounting services engagements in various industries.

Of course, he cannot do all the work alone and is blessed to have the capable resources of 12 professionals which he directly oversees.

Whereas Peter has a strong base in all matters relating to the Internal Revenue tax code, he has developed a strong emphasis in individual tax, State and local tax, non-profit’s and trusts and estates. Peter is required to maintain his Enrolled Agent license by receiving 72 hours of continuing education on a three-year cycle.

Robyn Dismuke – Bookkeeper

Robyn is a graduate of Heald Business College with an AAS in Accounting. Robyn has been with Maze & Associates since 2000. Robyn’s experience has been in a wide variety of industries and services, including monthly bill paying, bank reconciliations, posting of receipts, and preparation of individual, partnership and corporate tax returns. She provides accounting, payroll and tax services for many of our clients.

Timothy Krisch, CPA – Chief Executive Officer (Tax / Acct Svc / Audit)

Tim received a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Eastern Illinois University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was employed by Peterson & Co., a certified public accounting firm specializing in construction related litigation claims, and Wallace, Mah & Louie, Certified Public Accountants, for a total of nine years prior to joining Maze & Associates in 1990. Tim accumulated three hundred thirty-six hours of continuing education in the past three years as an in-house instructor and participant. Tim has served on the Finance Committee and Board of Directors of Contra Costa Christian Schools and currently serves on the Audit Committee and Board of Directors of Tony La Rusa’s Animal Rescue Foundation. Tim has also served as an expert witness on various court cases. His experience has been in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, retail, real estate construction and development; service oriented industries municipalities, special districts, as well as not for profit organizations.
